Chanterelle

Chanterelle’s rescue began when we were contacted by a family seeking help for their aging parent who could no longer manage the daily care of his goats. Together with Elmwood and Morel, she became one of the very first goats to join the Wild Pines Sanctuary family, helping to shape the early days of our growing herd.
Full of personality, Chanterelle is both curious and delightfully expressive. She makes sure everyone knows when something is not to her liking, her loud calls carrying across the pasture. She often sneaks up behind visitors for a quick sniff, curious about everything around her, yet she remains conflicted about touch—wanting attention one moment and pulling away the next. Chanterelle’s lively spirit and unique quirks make her an unforgettable presence at Wild Pines and a perfect example of how each rescue brings its own special spark.
