OUR MISSION

Wild Pines Sanctuary was founded with the mission to provide help and sanctuary to farm animals in need.

The animals in our care are valued as part of our family, where they are loved, respected, and treated as the sentient individuals they are. Our sanctuary exists to provide them with safety and a true forever home.

Along the way, we intend to show everyone that these animals are just like us, with unique personalities, feelings, and emotions. It is important for us to educate the public about the impact of animal agriculture in hopes that everyone will make thoughtful and conscious decisions.

Helping union county and beyond

HELPING UNION COUNTY AND BEYOND

We are located in Union, South Carolina, where there is a significant need for animal care and support. Our team works within the community to rescue animals in need and to provide essential education and resources about animal welfare.

Since Union County lacks sufficient animal welfare infrastructure, we are often called to step in for farm animals who have been discarded, neglected, bound for slaughter, or otherwise deemed disposable which is an unfortunate reality in many rural communities.

While our primary focus is farm animal rescue and sanctuary care, we may also support companion animals and injured wildlife when resources allow.

We also promote spay and neuter programs to reduce suffering and prevent overpopulation.

HOW TO HELP

Your support makes everything we do possible!

There are many ways to help Wild Pines Sanctuary, whether you’re able to give financially, donate supplies, or offer your time.

Every act of support helps provide lifelong care for rescued farm animals.

Volunteer with us

VOLUNTEER WITH US

We depend on volunteers to help with daily operations of the sanctuary. Tasks include feeding, refilling waters, refreshing bedding, cleaning barns, grooming, dishes, organizing supplies, and other animal care upkeep. Your time not only supports the daily operations of the farm but also offers meaningful opportunities to connect with the rescued animals whose lives you help protect and enrich.
