Cherry’s life began in a breeding operation where many equines faced uncertain and difficult futures. Thankfully, she was rescued and brought to safety at Luna Sea Sanctuary, where she finally experienced consistent care and peace. During her time there she gave birth to her daughter, Magnolia, who was conceived before Cherry’s rescue but born safely in sanctuary. After several happy years at Luna Sea, Cherry, Magnolia, and their companion Cypress the mini donkey made the journey to Wild Pines.
Cherry is a delightful mix of gentleness and spirited energy. While she enjoys calm moments with her friends, she has a bold and feisty side, especially when her favorite snacks appear. She is blind in one eye but moves with confidence and independence. At breakfast she races across the pasture so quickly that everyone else is left behind…watch out, Cherry is coming through. Her journey shows how rescue creates not only safety but also space for personality, family bonds, and the simple joy of living exactly as she chooses.
