Tofu’s rescue began on an ordinary vet visit that turned extraordinary. Our veterinarian asked us to meet a shy stray dog who had been found along the road and urgently needed a safe home. From the moment we met him we knew he was a perfect fit for Wild Pines and we couldn’t leave without him. He was gentle and sweet but clearly terrified, and it was clear that he needed a place where he could feel secure and loved.
Though timid on his first day, Tofu quickly found his confidence and heart. Now he is a joyful, silly companion who loves everyone and wants every creature to be friends. He spends his days playing, exploring, and making sure the sanctuary is full of fun and harmony. Tofu’s journey shows how an unexpected introduction can bring the perfect new family member and the greatest joy.
