Nori

Nori’s story is one of healing and renewal. Before her arrival at Wild Pines, she lived in a backyard with another pig, where the lack of space and resources often led to stress and conflict. By the time she came to us, she was extremely overweight, her tummy dragging on the ground and her vision nearly hidden. This weight put her health at serious risk, compounded by a painful condition called mule foot.
But behind her hardships was a gentle, kind spirit waiting to shine. Nori is a shy girl at first, but with patience she quickly reveals her sweet nature, politely asking for scratches and treats. She has been thriving on a careful weight management program and has already shed a significant amount of weight. These days, she can be found wandering the pasture with her goat, horse, and cow friends, or happily rooting and then settling into a cozy dirt bed in the shade. Nori’s journey is proof of how resilience and care can restore health and happiness.
