Elmwood
Rescued August 5, 2023
Elmwood’s story began when we were contacted by a family seeking help for their aging parent who could no longer manage the daily care of his goats. Along with his companions Morel and Chanterelle, Elmwood became one of the very first goats to join the Wild Pines Sanctuary family, marking a new chapter for both them and us.
Elmwood is full of character and charm. He adores attention and makes breakfast his highlight of the day, sometimes helping himself straight from the feed bag before his bowl is filled. True to his unique tastes, Elmwood prefers only his regular pellets, hay, and an occasional tree branch, politely turning down every other treat offered. His calm confidence and funny habits make him a much-loved part of the sanctuary and a perfect example of how rescue provides both safety and a place to simply be oneself.
