Every Dollar Doubled for Winter Hay

Maize enjoying her hay is cute and sure does put a smile on our faces. The amount of hay it takes to get everyone through winter is... a little less cute. 😬😂🌾

This year, we are hoping to raise $6,000 toward our winter hay supply. And before you say anything... yes, we know. That is a lot of money.

But when our larger hay eating residents can go through around 150 pounds of hay in a single day during the colder months, it adds up very quickly. 

🎉 The really exciting part is that a very generous anonymous donor has offered to match the first $3,000 donated!!!! 🎉

That means once our community raises $3,000, we will have reached the full $6,000 goal. 💚

Our pastures are already beginning to slow down for the season, and with less fresh forage available, some areas are becoming more heavily grazed. As we move further into fall and toward winter, our residents will rely more and more on hay every day.

Our goal is to build up our supply now so we are prepared for the colder months ahead.

And thanks to this matching gift, every donation gets us there twice as fast!
